Join us April 17 at the Downtown Sheraton for an evening of excitement and engagement as we officially kickoff Iowa City's quest to become a certified Blue Zones Community. All ages are invited to participate in activites which will celebrate our community, our well-being, and our future as we work together to become a Blue Zones Community!
The kickoff will feature speaker Dan Buettner, best-selling author of The Blue Zones and Thrive, along with Dan Burden from the Walkable and Livable Communities Institute. This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to see all the activities and opportunities the Blue Zones Project has to offer.
Additionally, participants will be treated to live music from local percussionists; a performance by the Spirit Squad; Blue Zones inspired food samples and cooking demonstrations; Free t-shirts, water bottles, drawstring knapsacks,magnets, seed packets; social media photo booth and more!

The City of Iowa City has generously granted FREE PARKING for Kick-off attendees at both the Dubuque Street Ramp, and the Court Street Transportation Center. Thank you to The City of Iowa City for supporting the Blue Zones Project - Iowa City Kick-off!
